Check the size before you cut

A correctly sized PDF can still be resized by a printer dialog. Check one plain-paper copy before making a laminated or adhesive card.

Print on Letter or A4 paper

Start with a blank Letter or A4 PDF, or build a card and choose Print to set your quantity. The site calculates the pages; keep the printer’s Copies setting at 1.

1. Choose the paper loaded in your printer. Select Letter or A4 in the builder before downloading. This changes the page, not the measured size of a small card.
2. Print at 100% or Actual size, with Margins: None. Disable Fit to page, Scale to fit and similar options. The paper layout already includes a half-inch inset; extra browser margins can resize or split it. Match the printer paper size to the selected Letter or A4 sheet, turn off headers and footers, and keep printer Copies at 1.
3. Measure the calibration mark. The bar on a card PDF must measure one inch, or 25.4 mm. If it does not, revisit scaling settings before changing card dimensions.
4. Check the card itself. Measure its outline, inspect the smallest text and test it against your equipment. For a cap, check the usable inside area and lid clearance.
5. Allow for finishing. Tape and lamination add area. Test your chosen materials before relying on a finished card.

From card to thermal label: three steps

These are actual builder screenshots and a generated PDF example. They show software output, not a physical printer test. The word TEST is a placeholder, not elevation data. Select an image to enlarge it.

Two ways to print

Download PDF and Print both open the same quantity and output review. Choose paper or a supported thermal label, set the quantity, and check the page or label count and preview. Download PDF then creates a file with embedded fonts; Print opens your browser's print dialog, which may also offer Save as PDF. Keep printer Copies at 1 because the output already contains the quantity you selected. If downloading fails, keep your entries and try Print. Unsupported PDF characters produce a message so you can replace them or try browser printing.

A quick calibration worksheet

The builder's printing section provides a printer-test sheet with a one-inch square, sample cards and small-type rows, plus a six-card fit pack. Record your own measurements; the worksheets do not certify a printer or equipment fit.

Blank templates without the editor

The download library contains all six formats on Letter and A4. These links also work when JavaScript is unavailable.

Keep an editable copy too

Save a named card in the builder, then export an editable backup. A large library may have multiple backup files: download every part and import them one at a time when restoring. Browser site data is not a permanent backup.

Our placement scenes are illustrations. We have not completed physical printer, equipment-fit or sticker-durability validation. Send feedback with the format, paper, print settings and what happened.

Print-and-photo checklist

Download the two-page checklist for US Letter or A4. Page one records your print, trim, fit and photo checks. Page two contains actual-size starting outlines for scope, stock, wallet, arm-board and match-notes cards, plus a one-inch calibration bar. For actual card artwork, use the blank downloads.

A browser preview is scaled for your screen. Its apparent size is not a ruler. Only measure the printed PDF after printing at 100% / Actual size. The outlines are starting examples; use your own measured dimensions in the builder.

Transfer your recorded data

1. Choose a format and enter its measured dimensions. Match the Distance unit and Angular unit labels to your source. Changing labels does not convert numbers.
2. Enter the Range, Elevation and Wind entries directly, or open Paste a table or import CSV for stock, scope-cap, arm-board or wallet cards. Copy cells from a spreadsheet, including the header if helpful, or choose a .csv file up to 32 KB encoded as UTF-8. Files are read on your device and populate the same review flow; they are not uploaded. Export Excel workbooks as CSV UTF-8, or paste their cells. Tab-separated text and comma-separated text are supported.
3. Columns are read automatically after you paste or load a file. Check whether the first row is a header and verify the delimiter. Use Read columns again if needed. Map the source columns to Range, Elevation and, where available, Wind. Use plain numeric entries without unit suffixes; keep units in the builder labels. Empty elevation or wind cells stay empty.
4. The review appears below the mappings once the columns and source units are valid. Check every row, the current unit labels and the list of ignored columns. Correct any errors before continuing. No values are calculated, rounded, sorted or converted.
5. Confirm replacement only when the review matches your records. Import uses manual ranges and preserves the selected card dimensions. Named saved cards are unchanged until you save or update them. Undo table import can restore the previous draft until you save, change cards or ranges, apply a suggested size, import again or reload; it also replaces edits made since that import after confirmation.
6. Check the preview and any fit warnings. More imported rows may require fewer rows or a larger measured space; the card will not silently grow. Compare the PDF against your source, then print a test copy.

Import accepts 1–25 data rows and up to 12 source columns. It formats supplied data only; it does not verify the correctness of your records. For a different device, use an editable backup rather than copying the PDF back into the builder.

Save, reopen and back up

1. Save: give the card a name below the entry table and select Save new card. After editing an opened card, select Update saved card.
2. Reopen: return to Your saved cards and select Open beside its name.
3. Back up: expand Back up or import saved cards, then download the editable backup. Keep every part if the library is split into multiple files. Import the files into the other browser to restore them.

Saved cards live in this browser on this device. They do not sync automatically. Private browsing, clearing site data or changing devices can remove access. A PDF is a printable copy; the editable backup keeps builder settings and entries.

Print several saved cards on one sheet

Save each card with a name, then choose Print several saved cards in Your saved cards. Select cards and copy counts, choose Letter or A4, and select Preview sheets. Up to 20 copies per selected card and 100 cards total can be exported together. Mixed card sizes keep their saved dimensions. More cards continue on additional sheets; they are never shrunk to fill a page. A full-page Range log keeps its original paper-sized artwork, so it may not fit a different sheet size.

Review every sheet and download the batch PDF. Print at 100% / Actual size and measure the scale. If a saved card has a layout problem, open that card, correct it, and update its saved copy before rebuilding the batch.

Create blank distance rows

In a stock, scope-cap, arm-board or wallet editor, open Max distance and choose Custom range…. Enter whole-number Start distance, End distance and Increment values, then select Review blank rows. The increment must reach the end exactly, with no more than 25 rows. Check every distance before selecting Replace with blank rows. Elevation and wind cells start blank. Existing named cards and preset entries are kept, and the card dimensions stay fixed. Undo is available for the current quick-fill until saving, changing cards or ranges, importing, quick-filling again or reloading.

Choose or drop a CSV

The table importer accepts pasted spreadsheet cells and one UTF-8 CSV file at a time, up to 32 KB. Choose a file or drop it inside the import panel. Common headers are suggested; unknown or ambiguous headers require a selection. Check Range, Elevation and optional Wind mapping, unit labels, ignored columns and every row in the review. Supplied numeric strings are copied without conversion or calculation. This is a general CSV importer; named app export compatibility has not been verified.

Prepare a report-style CSV

Some exports include titles, equipment settings or notes above the data table, or more columns than the importer accepts. Work from a copy and keep your original file.

1. In your spreadsheet, select the table’s column-heading row and its data rows. Leave out titles, settings, totals and blank separator rows. Keep 1–25 data rows with the same number of columns in each row.
2. Select only the columns you intend to map: Range, an angular Elevation field and, optionally, Wind. Use 2–12 source columns. Keep unit labels in the headings and copy values without rounding, conversion or sorting.
3. Paste the selected cells using Tabs, or export the selected table as CSV UTF-8 and choose Commas. Leave First row contains column names checked when you include the headings.
4. Review every column mapping and source unit. Elevation and wind holds use MIL/MRAD or MOA; linear drop in inches or centimeters, velocity and energy are different fields. If several angular fields are present, explicitly choose the one you intend to copy—its name alone does not establish which is appropriate. Match the card’s unit labels before importing; labels do not convert values.
5. Check all rows against the original table before choosing Replace draft entries. A rejected file leaves the draft unchanged. After a successful import, Undo table import can restore the previous draft until you save, change cards or ranges, import or quick-fill again, apply a suggested size, or reload.

These preparation steps do not validate the source data or establish compatibility with every export from a named application. If you cannot identify the intended fields and units, keep the current draft and check your source before importing.

To take your entries back to a spreadsheet, open Export entries (CSV) in Step 2 of the builder. The export includes the rows shown for the current card and any saved Notes or match Order values, even when those optional fields are hidden. CSV contains entries, not your complete card settings: use an editable backup to restore saved cards. Reimport supports the four range-card formats and up to 25 numeric rows; extra columns such as Notes are ignored. Match notes and Range log CSV exports cannot be reimported into the builder.

Optional details for match cards

On Match notes, enable Add stage identification and engagement order to add an optional stage name or number and an Order column. Target descriptions and notes wrap when space allows. The original three-column layout remains available. Hiding these optional fields keeps their saved values. Check the layout and save the card again after editing.

Trim marks and finishing clearance

Open Trim marks and finishing clearance beside the current card preview, or use the finishing controls in batch printing. Clearance adds space outside each edge without resizing the card. For example, 0.125 inches adds ⅛ inch on each side, increasing a rectangular finished footprint by ¼ inch in both dimensions. Trim ticks indicate the outer finished boundary; circular cards also show an outer ring when clearance is added. These guides do not change the card’s original outline.

Cut paper to the original card outline before laminating. After lamination, leave the seal width specified by your pouch manufacturer; use the outer boundary as a measured reference. Clearance alone does not guarantee a durable seal or equipment fit. More clearance may require extra pages or prevent a large card from fitting. Single-card finishing options apply to its Print and Download PDF buttons; batch printing has separate controls. Options reset when the page reloads. We have not verified alignment with specific die-cut label sheets: test on plain paper before using adhesive stock.
